The Assembly Place to debut ‘AI-powered’ co-living property at Lorong 22 Geylang

TAP will lease the property from Char Yong (Dabu) Association– among Singapore’s oldest clan organizations– for 15 years, with an option to restore the lease for a further 5 years.
ETC, which stood for Char Yong (Dabu) Association, assisted the landlord secure the tenancy arrangement with TAP. “Provided the property’s residential use and the evolving profile of Geylang as a lively city-fringe district, we saw solid capacity in positioning it for a co-living concept,” claims Velina Kwan, co-head of company space and retail at ETC
The Assembly Place (TAP) has entered into an occupancy arrangement with Char Yong (Dabu) Association for a dual-block real estate at 27 and 29 Lorong 22 Geylang.
Under TAP, the advancement will have around 80 areas. As TAP’s flagship AI-powered co-living property, it is going to include smart facility systems, data-driven neighborhood management capabilities and curated resident programming. It is going to likewise have TAP’s initial dedicated AI Lab– a common area created as a high-performance office and collaborative neighborhood center.

Consisting of a four-storey block and an eight-storey block, the real property has a complete gross floor area of approximately 26,889 sq ft around 2 adjoining structures. The block at 27 Lorong 22 Geylang currently houses private housing walk-up homes, whilst 29 Lorong 22 Geylang works as the premises for the historical association that serves the Dabu Hakka neighborhood.
The AI Lab will host every week build nighttimes where homeowners work on personalized AI projects, once a month demonstration days to showcase their job, and sessions featuring guest speakers from AI-related markets. Other campaigns are going to consist of engineering workshops and mentorship pairings “between tech-savvy and non-technical locals”.
The property will be TAP’s 5th location in Geylang, mirroring the group’s conviction in the area’s capacity, states Eugene Lim, its executive director and CEO. “Geylang is one of Singapore’s most culturally layered and historically significant areas, and we have viewed it develop continuously as a city fringe place, with much better connectivity, even more diversity in its resident base, and raising amenities.”
Char Yong (Dabu) Association is expected to turn over the real estate to TAP on June 1, with the area living operator intended to begin operations at the brand-new place around the ending of October.
